London Lockdown — Enjoying the Ordinary

I moved my art studio home a few months ago before the lockdown began. I set up my desk to catch the light from the sliding glass doors running the length of my living room. Working from home, I go deep into my solitude each day. I paint, write, and think about what’s possible for the next few months.

I’m slowly working through my second time doing The Artist’s Way. Each week, I take myself on an artist date. I find at least an hour to do an activity to nurture my inner artist. This week, I decided to do a little photo essay around my flat, enjoying the beauty of everyday objects around my home.

Photography has been a favourite hobby since I took my first black and white photography class in high school. Since the lockdown began, I’ve picked up my camera again, recently going for a walk around my neighbourhood.

Here are a few of my favourite pictures from this week’s session.
